The BTCPay Server team, the leading Bitcoin payment processor, today released a major new version of the software with numerous improvements:
– An overhaul of MultiSig support with an improved interface, email notifications, compatibility with hardware wallets, and multisignature coordination that does not depend on a third party.
– A new fee management interface that supports RBF (Replace-By-Fee) and CPFP (Child-Pays-For-Parent), to unblock slow transactions without external services.
– ZCash (ZEC) and Monero (XMR) have been removed and become optional plugins.
– New e-commerce integrations:
Shopify V2 (compatible with the new mandatory API starting August 2025)
Ghost (publishing platform – donations, paid content, subscriptions)
ECWID (popular e-commerce solution, especially on social media)
– New plugins like Cash Checkout, which adds a cash payment option, and Satoshi Tickets (event management with integrated ticketing)
– Plugin Store improvements:
Email verification and soon GitHub accounts for developers
Featured plugins

– Plugin updates:
Vendor Pay (formerly “Payroll”): Vendor payment management with reminders, confirmations, and improved exports.
Xpub Extractor: Facilitates xpub extraction for multisigs. TicketTailor, CoinJoin, Nostr: Updates and bug fixes.
