Warning:
– It is recommended to verify the key that cryptographically signs the Bitcoin Core binary files from multiple sources.
– To update the software, it is recommended to shut down Bitcoin Core, taking care to wait for it to shut down completely (which can take several minutes with older versions) before running the installer.
– If this is your first installation, Bitcoin Core will download the entire transaction ledger. Make sure you have sufficient bandwidth and disk space (the ledger currently occupies approximately 652 GB). Be careful, if you are a beginner, Bitcoin Core is probably not the best solution for you. It is best to start with a lightweight application.
Bitcoin Core is free software released under the MIT License.
